Maybe (2022)

Trust your instincts in love

Reconstructed from an early demo - the original session was lost to a hard drive failure - ‘Maybe’ tells us to discard emotional baggage and trust our instincts in love.

From a rich baritone to ethereal harmonies, pulsating textural synths and melodies make this song perfect for fans of eclectic indie love songs and chill folk such as Joshua Hyslop, Sufjan Stevens and Daughter.

LISTEN NOW
“Maybe unfolds like a novella of a hopeless romantic who maybe, just maybe, got it right this time. Anyone can get lost in this vibe, but if you need a ‘go to’ song on your fresh flame introspective journey, you can take this with you as you ponder the complications of love. ”

— The Wild is Calling

“[...] completely mesmerised us with its sonic beauty. The song has a strong emotional hold on us and will leave an indelible impression in our thoughts.”

— Sinusoidal Music

“Just when you think there can’t be any more instruments to add, the whole track breaks down to just gentle piano, a little bass and a few synth like sounds before it bursts back in with the full sound.”

— Send Me Your Ears

“Opening with an immersive risers, strings and cosmic textures, we are immediately mesmerized by Maybe, as ethereal vocals wash over us, Jon kicks of the narrative of the song, telling a cerebral story encouraging us to discard emotional baggage and trust our instincts in love.”

— KIMU

“Jon brings us a sensational sound, mix between an acoustic and electric.” - Victor Matheus

— Indieoclock

“[...] an atmospheric and ethereal Folk-Pop track that is sure fired to bring silky smooth vibes to your morning today”

— Gifted Balance Records

“It reminds you of those quiet times when your mind wanders down every avenue, searching for the elusive exit of an endless maze. Instead of spiraling out, Sandman tactfully lays out his emotional coordinates as he weighs whether or not to venture onward with a new relationship. ” - Travis Boyer

Dear Friends (2022)

A sorry note to neglected loved ones

Like so many others in the wake of recent events, I became closed off from the outside world, and neglected some of the most important people in my life - my friends, my family, my partner. I actually wrote 'Dear Friends' back in 2017, when I started to grow apart from some of my closest friends from university, as we all went our separate ways.
